General
What is the GameOn Active app?
The GameOn Active app helps organizers create local games, manage attendance, and collect payment when needed. Players can browse nearby games, review details, and join from one app. Available in the UK and US.
What sports does GameOn Active support?
GameOn Active supports multi-sport local communities, including basketball, football, volleyball, badminton, fitness, and other community sports.
How old do I need to be to use GameOn Active?
You must be at least 13 years old to use GameOn Active. Full details are in our Terms of Service.
Is GameOn Active responsible for event details posted in the app?
No. Organizers post event details in the GameOn Active app, and GameOn Active does not verify the accuracy of that content. If something looks wrong, contact the organizer of the event directly.
For organizers
How do organizers create a game on GameOn Active?
Organizers build a game page with the sport, location, date, time, cost, and skill level, then share the link or reach local players in the app.
Does GameOn Active charge organizers to run games?
Free-to-join games have no platform fee. If you collect payment in the app for a paid game, a payment processing fee is deducted from each payment before the net amount is paid out to you. The fee depends on whether you are organizing in the UK or the US.
What fees does GameOn Active charge organizers in the UK?
Free games have no fee. For paid games with in-app payment, the fee is 4% + 40p per payment, applied when payouts are sent to your bank account. You can see the fee amount in the app before and after each payout.
What fees does GameOn Active charge organizers in the US?
Free games have no fee. For paid games with in-app payment, the fee is 6% + 60¢ per payment, applied when payouts are sent to your bank account. You can see the fee amount in the app before and after each payout.
How do waitlists work?
When a game is full, players join the waitlist in order. Organizers see the full queue on the game page. When someone drops out, the next player is notified automatically—first come, first served.
Can organizers see who paid and how many people viewed a game?
Yes. Organizers can use game analytics to see page views and check which players have paid from the same game page.
Who handles refunds for my events?
You do. As the organizer, you set the cancellation and refund policy for your events. GameOn Active does not issue refunds on your behalf—refund requests are between you and your players.
How do payouts work when players pay in the app?
When players pay through the GameOn Active app, the payment processing fee is deducted from each payment and the net amount is transferred to your registered bank account. The fee rate depends on your country (UK or US) and is shown in the app.

Can players find games near them?
