Why We Started
GameOn Active was born from a common frustration: the difficulty of finding and organizing basketball games in London. Our founders, avid players themselves, saw a gap in the market for a platform that could connect players, organizers, and facilities in one seamless experience.

Our Story
The journey from idea to sports tech platform
The Idea
Our founders met at a pickup basketball game in London and realized how difficult it was to find consistent games and venues.
From Concept to MVP
After months of research and development, we launched our first minimum viable product focusing on basketball in London.
Surviving COVID-19
While many competitors shut down, we quickly adapted by introducing features in the Connect app, such as global chat, which kept our users engaged during the pandemic.
First Funding Round
We raised our first round of funding from friends and family, securing approximately $100,000 to develop the Operate platform.
Operate Platform Launch
We successfully launched the MVP of the Operate platform, connecting venue owners with players and organizers in a seamless ecosystem.
Growth & Recognition
Reached 10,000 users and processed our first £50,000 in payments, proving our business model's viability.
Today & Beyond
With 20,000+ users and plans to expand to more sports, we're just getting started on our mission to transform recreational sports.
